Youth rowers from Cape Cod Rowing and Nauset Regional High School followed up the Head of the Charles Regatta on October 18th, by winning the Overall Team Points Trophy for Sculling on Saturday, October 24, at the 1st annual Massachusetts State Championship Regatta in Worcester. In the junior men's double, Michael Cabral and Jabob Awalt earned silver medals. Audrey Calianos and Emily Conway teamed up for the gold in the junior women's double. Followed by their teammates, Laurel Fournier and Grace Cox who took home silver. All four girls also won silver in the junior women's varsity four race. Oliver Launoy won silver in the junior men's single race and Kelly Glennon won gold in the junior women's single race.
Kelly also placed 18th in her single in the Head of the Charles Regatta, as the only youth single sculler from Cape Cod competing against rowers from around the world. Her Cape Cod Rowing and Nauset teammates Grace Cox (coxswain), Claire Hancock, Hope Elliot, Julia Telman, Karli Herwig, Audrey Calianos, Trudy Cox, Emily Conway and Laurel Fournier, placed 77th in the junior women's eight race competing against top junior crews from across the country.
